Tax Preparer
Dufour Tax Group is looking for a tax preparer to join our team. We are seeking a driven, adaptable individual who is open to learning and developing their current skills and expertise.
Salary:
Competitive rates, starting starting at $60,000.00 depending on experience.
Job description:
Preparation of individual, business, and fiduciary returns. Assisting clients with questions regarding their return or general planning and including the project manager as needed. Working as a part of a team to solve problems, do research, or complete projects.
Responsibilities:
Prepare U.S. and multi-state income tax returns for business entities, including C‐corporations, S-Corporations, Partnerships, and fiduciary returns.
Prepare U.S. and state individual income and gift tax returns.
Prepare tax planning projections for individual and corporate estimated tax liability as needed.
Conduct tax research as needed.
Communicate directly with existing clients, colleagues, and management regarding various tax matters.
Engage in consulting and special projects as requested by Management and Clients.
Qualifications:
1 or more tax seasons or years of relevant experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax, Business or a related field.
Ability to work well independently and with a team.
Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
Familiarity with QuickBooks is preferred but not required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Candidates should have strong interpersonal, relationship-building and organizational skills.
Ability to handle multiple client engagements in a fast-paced environment.
Desire to expand current knowledge base.
